英検対策にシャドーイングを使うには？面接の自分の答えにつなげる
英検面接のmodel answerを丸暗記せず、Shadow→Strip→Swap→Answerで自分の答えへ変える練習法。級ごとの違いと自然な聞き返しも確認します。
英検面接でshadowingするなら、model answerを丸ごと暗記するのではなく、Shadow → Strip → Swap → Answer で「答えを作る動き」だけ借ります。
model answerは滑らかに言える。でもtopicが変わった瞬間に止まる。そんな時は、覚えた英語が少ないのではなく、modelのcontentとresponse moveをまだ分けていないことがあります。

まず確認：英検の面接は級によって違う
英検公式 では、現在、1級・準1級・2級・準2級プラス・準2級・3級にface-to-faceの二次試験があります。ただし、同じ「面接」でもtaskは同じではありません。

たとえば2級 と準2級プラス は、3コマのnarrationと自分の意見を述べるquestionsがあります。一方、1級 はshort speechとQ&Aを含む別構造です。
つまり、全級に一つの「万能answer」を当てはめるのではなく、自分の受験級のtaskに合わせてresponse moveを使うのが安全です。
Shadow：最初はsoundとresponse shapeだけ真似する
British Councilのshadowing guidance のように、まずmodelをよく聞き、sound・rhythm・timingをimitateします。
ここではcontentを覚えることがgoalではありません。「opinionを出した後にreasonが来る」「Yes/Noの後に一文足す」といったanswerの形を耳と口に入れます。

shadowする時は I think X because Y というOpinion → Reasonのmoveを意識します。
topicが変わっても、自分の意見とreasonをつなぐ骨組みとして使えます。
まずmodel sentenceをshadowし、その後public parks / relaxの部分に線を引いて「消すcontent」として扱ってください。

daily-life questionsで、自分のchoiceとreasonを短く答えるpracticeになります。
sentence全体を暗記するのではなく、prefer→becauseのflowだけを残してください。
Strip：modelからtopic-specific contentを外す
shadowing後、そのanswerを「使い回せる部分」と「そのtopicだけの部分」に分けます。
- 残す：opinion、reason、example、comparisonなどのmove。
- 外す：modelのtopic、personal detail、具体的な理由。
たとえば I think public parks are important because ... から、残すのは I think X because Y。公園の話そのものは捨てます。

Yes/No → Reasonというmoveだけを残します。it saves time はtopic-specificなので入れ替えます。
自分のopinionを一語で終わらせず、次の一文へ進みやすくなります。
One reason is that ... の後ろを空欄にして、自分で三つ別のreasonを作ってください。

Reasonの後にExampleを足すmoveです。travelというcontent自体は覚える必要がありません。
opinion questionで、理由を具体化したい時のbridgeになります。
For example, ... だけ残し、自分のtruthful exampleに替えてください。
Swap：自分のtruthful contentへ入れ替える
ここが面接対策の本体です。model answerにあった「便利」「環境にいい」「友達と使う」などのreasonを、そのまま自分のanswerへ持ってこないでください。
自分が本当に説明できるreasonへ替えます。特別な体験がなければ、fake personal storyを作る必要もありません。一般的なreasonで十分な場面もあります。
たとえば新しいquestionがonline learningについてなら、modelのpark answerを I think online classes can be useful because students can study from home. のように変えられます。同じなのはOpinion → Reasonのmoveだけ。contentはnewです。
Answer：最後はscriptを隠して、新しいquestionに答える
shadowingができても、新しいpromptで答えられなければtransferはまだ終わっていません。次はscriptを隠し、model answerとは違うtopicを一つ選び、自分のcontentで答えます。

Let me think. は短いbridgeとして使えますが、answerの代わりにはなりません。すぐown choice + reasonへ進みます。
突然のpreference questionでも、暗記文ではなく自分のanswerへ入れます。
trainを別のchoiceに替え、自分にとってtruthfulなreasonを一つ言ってください。
同じquestionに毎回同じanswerを言うのではなく、reasonを二〜三種類作っておくと、「暗記の再生」から「answer generation」へ移りやすくなります。
Description taskでは、見えないdetailをinventしない
準2級・準2級プラス・2級などではillustrationを使うtaskがあります。ここではopinion templateではなく、見える情報を英語にするmoveが必要です。

illustration questionで、storyを勝手に作らずobserved informationから始められます。
人物・action・objectの三つだけを見て、一文作ってください。

見た目からreasonableなdescriptionはできても、原因を断定できない時はinventしません。
illustration/narrationでunsupported detailを足す癖を防げます。
見えるfactと推測を分けてください。分からないcauseは作らないでください。
Questionが聞き取れなければ、guessして答えない
英検公式の2級、準2級、準2級プラス、3級 などのcurrent interview guidanceでは、questionが聞き取れなかった時の自然な流れの中での聞き返しは、それ自体が減点対象にはならないと説明されています。ただし、不自然な聞き返しや繰り返しは減点対象になり得ます。
つまり、時間稼ぎのhackとして何度も聞き返すのではなく、本当にquestionを聞き取れなかった時のrecoveryとして使います。

questionが genuinely unclear な時のnatural clarification requestです。
random guessでirrelevant answerを始める前に、questionをrecoverできます。
このphraseをshadowしたら、その後は必ずquestionを聞いてanswerへ進むpracticeをしてください。

受験級に合わせて、Shadowするものを変える
- 3級：短いpersonal answerやdaily-life responseを、自分のcontentへswapする。
- 準2級：Yes/No + reason、preference + reason、illustration descriptionを分けて練習する。
- 準2級プラス・2級：narrationのflowとopinion responseを別々にshadowしてtransferする。
- 準1級：より長いnarration/Q&Aで、reasoning moveを抽出する。
- 1級：short speech/Q&Aなので、一文templateではなくclaim→reason→supportのようなargument moveを使う。

1つのmodel answerを5分で自分のanswerへ変える
- short modelを一回listenする。
- sound/rhythmをshadowする。
- topic-specific nouns/reasonsを消す。
- 残ったresponse moveを一行で書く。
- 別topicを一つ選び、自分のtruthful contentを入れる。
- scriptを隠してanswerする。
- questionを少し変えて、もう一度answerする。
二回目のnew questionにも答えられたら、model answerを「覚えた」ではなく、moveを「使える」に近づいています。
Shadowingの出口は、model answerではなく自分のanswer
Shadow。Strip。Swap。そしてAnswer。
発音やrhythmをmodelから借りる。answer structureも借りる。でも、最後のreason・example・opinionは自分で作ります。
