คุณเขียน He send final file Thursday. แต่ audio คือ He didn’t send the final files until Thursday. 😅 นี่ไม่ใช่ “ผิดห้าคำ” แบบเดียวกัน—แต่เป็น miss คนละชนิด

Listen: รอบแรกห้ามไล่จับทุกคำ

British Council ใช้ dictation และ dictogloss ทั้งเพื่อ accuracy และเพื่อ reconstruct meaning. สำหรับ self-study ให้รอบแรกตอบแค่: “พูดเรื่องอะไร?” ก่อนจะไล่หา form

Original practice example

Listen once for meaning: “He didn’t send the final files until Thursday.”

รอบแรกไม่ต้องเขียนทุกคำ เป้าคือรู้ว่า action คือ send, object คือ files และ timing เกี่ยวกับ Thursday

Original practice example

Chunk: “didn’t send” / “the final files” / “until Thursday”

Original practice example

Write what you heard: “He ? send final file Thursday.”

Original practice example

Compare: “file” → “files”; missing “didn’t”, “the”, “until”

  • WORD — content word ไม่รู้หรือได้ยินผิด
  • GLUE — small/function/weak word เช่น a, the, to, of, have
  • END — ending/final sound เช่น plural -s, past -ed, final consonant
  • BOUNDARY — แบ่งคำผิด เช่นได้ยินสองคำเป็นหนึ่งคำ หรือกลับกัน
  • DETAIL — negation, number, date, name, direction หรือ detail ที่เปลี่ยนสาร

Original practice example

Tag: didn’t = DETAIL, the = GLUE, -s = END, until = WORD/GLUE depending on learner knowledge

Original practice example

Replay only: “didn’t send” → write again from audio

หลังรู้ transcript แล้ว ให้ปิด transcript และกลับไปพิสูจน์ว่าหูเริ่มจับ negation จาก audio ได้จริง

ใช้แก้ DETAIL miss ที่สำคัญ เช่น didn’t/not/number

ความหมาย: เป้าคือ hearing change ไม่ใช่จำเฉลย

ฝึก: replay 3–5 รอบเฉพาะ chunk แล้วเขียนใหม่จากเสียงโดยไม่มอง transcript

Detail Audit: miss แบบไหน?

A. “He didn’t send the final files until Thursday.”

ถ้าคุณเขียน He sent the final files Thursday.

detail ที่อันตรายที่สุดต่อ meaning คืออะไร?
ดูคำตอบ

didn’t เป็น DETAIL เพราะกลับ polarity ของประโยค; ควร replay chunk รอบ negation ก่อน

B. “I ordered three tickets, not two.”

ถ้าคุณได้ I ordered tickets. ให้ tag missing three และ not two เป็น DETAIL แล้ว replay เฉพาะช่วงตัวเลข/contrast

C. “She’s already sent it to the new address.”

ถ้าคุณเขียน She already send it new address. คุณอาจมี GLUE + END + BOUNDARY มากกว่าปัญหา vocabulary

Error fingerprint: ดู pattern หลายรอบ ไม่ใช่คะแนนครั้งเดียว

หลัง dictation 5 ชิ้น ให้ tally ว่า tag ไหนโผล่บ่อย:

  • GLUE เยอะ → ฝึก weak/function words ใน phrase
  • END เยอะ → ฟัง final consonants/endings
  • BOUNDARY เยอะ → ฝึก connected speech/chunking
  • DETAIL เยอะ → ฝึก negation/numbers/names ด้วย targeted replay
  • WORD เยอะ → vocabulary + sound mapping

นี่เป็น practical diagnosis ไม่ใช่ CEFR score และไม่ควรใช้ตีระดับตัวเองจากจำนวน miss เล็ก ๆ

Routine 5 นาที

  1. 1 นาที: ฟัง clip สั้นเพื่อ meaning
  2. 2 นาที: chunk + write
  3. 1 นาที: compare + tag
  4. 1 นาที: replay error window + rewrite

ถ้าไม่มี transcript ที่เชื่อถือได้ อย่าใช้ clip นั้นทำ accuracy dictation—คุณจะไม่มี ground truth ที่ดีพอสำหรับ Compare

สรุป: transcript ไม่ได้บอกว่าคุณ “แย่”—มันบอกว่าต้องซ้อมอะไร

ใช้ Listen → Chunk → Write → Compare → Tag → Replay. รอบแรกเอาความหมาย รอบสองเก็บ form แล้วเปลี่ยนทุก mismatch ให้เป็น drill ที่เฉพาะ

“ผิด 7 คำ” บอกได้น้อย แต่ “ฉันพลาด negation 2 ครั้ง, plural ending 3 ครั้ง และ word boundary 2 จุด” บอกได้ทันทีว่าพรุ่งนี้ควรฟังอะไร
