Original practice example

Today I want to show you why this change matters.

Today I’m going to talk about our new process.

กับ:

Today I want to show you why the new process matters for delivery time.

Original practice example

I’ll cover three things: the problem, the change and the expected impact.

Original practice example

Let’s move to the second point.

บอกตรง ๆ ว่า section แรกจบและ section สองเริ่มแล้ว

ใช้เมื่ออยากให้ audience reset focus ก่อนประเด็นใหม่

ความหมาย: ไปที่ประเด็นที่สองกัน

ฝึก: เปลี่ยน second point เป็นชื่อหัวข้อจริง เช่น the proposed solution

Original practice example

Before I move on, there’s one detail worth highlighting.

  • Let’s look at...
  • The next point is...
  • Now, why does this matter?
  • That brings me to...

Anchor: อย่าแค่ชี้ slide—บอกว่ามันเกี่ยวอะไรกับ main point

คำพูดอย่าง As you can see on this chart... ช่วยอ้างถึง visual แต่ถ้าจบตรงนั้น audience ยังต้องทำงานเองว่า “แล้วฉันควรเห็นอะไร?”

Original practice example

The reason this matters is that it changes what the customer sees first.

Anchor line เชื่อม detail กลับกับ argument หรือ takeaway ของ section

ใช้หลังข้อมูล ตัวอย่าง หรือ visual เพื่อบอก audience ว่าควรตีความอย่างไร

ความหมาย: เหตุผลที่เรื่องนี้สำคัญคือมันเปลี่ยนสิ่งที่ลูกค้าเห็นเป็นอย่างแรก

ฝึก: หลังทุก chart/example ของคุณ ลองตอบ aloud ว่า Why does this matter?

เทียบ:

As you can see, this bar is higher.

กับ:

As you can see, this bar is higher. The reason this matters is that the new version gets more first-time clicks.

ประโยคแรก describe visual. ประโยคสองช่วย audience interpret visual

หลุดประเด็น? ใช้ reset line แทนการขอโทษยาว

presentation จริงมีจังหวะที่เราหลง detail หรือถามตอบระหว่างทางแล้ว flow แตก ไม่ต้องพูด Sorry, sorry, I forgot what I was saying... ยาว ๆ ถ้ารู้ main point อยู่ ให้พากลับเลย

Original practice example

Let me come back to the main point.

เป็น reset line ที่บอก audience ว่ากำลังกลับจาก side detail สู่ route หลัก

ใช้หลัง digression, Q&A แทรก หรือเมื่อคุณรู้สึกว่า explanation พาออกนอกทาง

ความหมาย: ขอพากลับมาที่ประเด็นหลัก

ฝึก: พูด line นี้แล้วตามด้วย main point หนึ่งประโยคทันที

Recap: conclusion ไม่ใช่โกดังข้อมูลใหม่

British Council presentation model ใช้ In summary... แล้วรวบ main points ก่อนเปิด questions. จุดสำคัญคือ conclusion ควรทำให้คนฟังรู้ว่า “ถ้าจำได้หนึ่งอย่างคืออะไร”

In summary, the problem is slow first-time onboarding, the change simplifies the first screen, and the key point is that users reach the main action faster.

If you remember one thing, it’s this: the first screen should make the next action obvious.

อย่าเปิด topic ใหม่ใน 20 วินาทีสุดท้ายเพราะ “มีอีกเรื่องนึงนึกออกพอดี” 😄

Shadow → Remove the signposts → Rebuild the map

British Council TeachingEnglish สนับสนุนการใช้ material สั้นและค่อยลดตัวช่วย ลอง Shadow mini-presentation:

  1. Today I want to show you why this change matters.
  2. I’ll cover three things: the problem, the change and the expected impact.
  3. Let’s move to the second point.
  4. The reason this matters is that it changes what the customer sees first.

รอบต่อไป ลบ transition ออกทั้งหมด แล้วให้คุณใส่ใหม่ด้วยคำของตัวเอง ถ้า audience ยังรู้ว่า section ไหนเริ่ม/จบ แปลว่าคุณกำลังใช้ function ไม่ใช่ท่อง phrase

Audience GPS: ผู้ฟังหลงตรงไหน?

presentation ด้านล่างเป็นสถานการณ์สมมติ

Opening

เปิดแบบไหนให้ audience เห็น purpose ชัดกว่า?
ดูคำตอบ

B ให้ audience outcome ชัดกว่า A ซึ่งยัง vague

Route: problem → change → impact

พูด preview line เอง

ดูโมเดล

I’ll cover three things: the problem, the change and the expected impact.

หลังจบ “problem” ต้องเข้า “change”

อะไรทำหน้าที่ signpost?
ดูคำตอบ

B บอก direction ของ talk โดยตรง

คุณแสดง chart แล้วพูดว่า “this bar is higher”

เพิ่ม anchor line ที่ตอบ “so what?”

ดูตัวอย่าง

The reason this matters is that more users reach the main action on their first visit.

คุณหลุดไปเล่า side detail นานเกิน

reset แล้วกลับ main point

ดูโมเดล

Let me come back to the main point.

ไมโครชาเลนจ์: 60 วินาที แต่มี map

เลือก topic ง่าย ๆ แล้วพูดแค่:

  1. Promise
  2. Route 2–3 points
  3. หนึ่ง Signpost
  4. หนึ่ง Anchor
  5. หนึ่ง Recap
