Ear → Text → Ear → Own
| Step | やること | 本文 |
|---|---|---|
| Ear | まず音だけで聞く | 閉じる |
| Text | missed word / phrase / meaning / boundaryだけ修理 | 必要箇所だけ開く |
| Ear | audio-led shadowing
Original practice example
Could you send me the updated schedule by Friday?
first passではrequest frame、key content words、sentence endingが残るかだけ見ます。本文はまだ開きません。
同僚にupdated scheduleを頼む場面。
意味:金曜日までに更新した予定表を送ってもらえますか?
audioだけで聞いたつもりで、まずgistを一言で言ってください。
Text:本文は「聞こえなかった場所」だけ開く
本文を見るのはfailureではありません。役割が限定されていれば、repairに使えます。見るのはmissed word、unknown phrase、reduced form、thought-group boundaryなど。
Original practice example
I should have told you about the change earlier.
Repair Bench Check
Ear
Open Text only if needed
Repair
Exit the bench
次に何をする?
- Earで問題なし:scriptを開かずshadow。
- specific blockerあり:scriptでそこだけrepair。
- reading中だけ言える:scriptに居すぎ。閉じてretest。
- same blocker persists:unitを短くするか、そのblockerだけisolated repair。
Ear 2:repairが終わったら、本文を閉じる
script-supported synchronized readingはrepair stepとして使えます。でもgoalはそこではありません。textを閉じた瞬間に全部崩れるなら、visual supportがまだ仕事をしすぎています。
Original practice example
We need to figure out what went wrong before we try again.
Original practice example
I usually review the difficult part before I listen again.
教材のframe/rhythmを自分のroutineへ移します。完全なfree speakingではなく、small transferです。
自分のstudy routineを説明する場面。
意味:私はたいてい、もう一度聞く前に難しい部分を復習します。
the difficult part または before I listen again を自分のactual routineへ変えてください。
何回やる? 回数よりblockerを見る
shadowing researchではrepetitionでperformanceが変化しますが、material difficultyやtarget outcomeによってpatternは同じではありません。repetitionとmaterial difficultyを扱った研究や2025年のlongitudinal studyからも、一つの万能回数を作る根拠にはなりません。
| 状態 | 次のaction |
|---|---|
| same blockerが戻る | repeat数を増やす前にrepair |
| textなしで安定 | fresh passを一度 |
| meaningもsoundもmostly survive | Ownへ進む |
| material全体がtoo hard | 短くするか別unitへ |
教材の話をするときの小さなEnglish trap
I listened the audio three times. は、意図したordinary useではstandard Englishではありません。listen は通常objectの前に to が必要なので、自然なのは I listened to the audio three times.。
listenerは意味を理解しやすいです。hear はdirect objectを取れます。例:I heard the audio playing in the next room.
Could you repeat that? と Can you say that again?
