Guides

Guide 1 — Generate Your Magical Fluency Roadmap

Why: Focus time on vocabulary that actually moves you forward. How: Open the sidebar and go to the Roadmap tab. In the Magical Fluency Roadmap box, switch it on (toggle on the right). Select your native language and the language you want to learn, then click “View your Roadmap to Fluency” at the bottom to load the full, level-matched list from the current video. Pro tip: Start with 10 words you’ll reuse this week (not just “interesting” ones).

Guide 2 — Read with Color-Coded Subtitles

Why: Seeing target words inside the dialogue builds fast, contextual memory. How: With the Roadmap switched on, target words in the subtitles are color-highlighted and marked with a small book icon above them. When a marked word appears, click the book for instant explanations and examples. Use it well: When a color pops, pause for 2 seconds, read the line, and say a quick personal example out loud.

Guide 3 — Track Progress (Micro-Wins)

Why: Visible progress keeps you consistent. How: Watch the progress bar inside the Roadmap window tick up as you mark words learned. Aim for 10+ per session or a time goal (e.g., 8 minutes). Habit tip: End each session at a small milestone (e.g., +5 words) to return tomorrow.

Guide 4 — Save & Review (Stick the Landing)

Why: Brief reviews turn exposure into retention. How: Click Save on any word to add it to your review list/flashcards. Do a 2-minute review after the episode: definition → example → your own sentence. Speed drill: Cover the definition and recall it from memory—then check.

Guide 5 — Make It Your Level (CEFR Targeting)

Why: The right difficulty = faster growth. How: Magical Fluency Roadmap filters by level using Cambridge-based sets. Make sure your learning language is English (required) and set your level in settings. If words feel too easy/hard, adjust your level, then open the Roadmap tab and view your Roadmap to Fluency again.
